PLOTSheena learns that a rogue hunter has been hired by a man and his prim sister to lead them on on a big game hunting party, despite the fact that the man is going blind from the blow of a buffalo horn. COMMENTS The only details we have about this lost episode are preserved in The TV Collector magazine, which gives a brief plot summary and the names of the guest stars. Charles Horvath , who played the shopkeeper in the sixth episode, Trade of the Killer, also worked on this episode while he was in Mexico (click on link to read about that episode and see two photos). As mentioned there, Horvath was a bit of a Hollywood B-films stalwart and had been around since the late-1940s. He began his career as a stunt man before moving to acting.
He appeared in westerns like Colorado Territory (1949) with Joel
McCrae, Dallas (1950) with Gary Cooper,
and The Man Behind the Gun (1953), with Randolph
Scott. He also appeared in one of the Jungle Jim films,
Voodo Tiger
(1952), with Johnny Weissmuller.
His face would have been very well-known to television viewers for
he appeared as a guest in numerous television series, including Gunsmoke,
Have Gun
Will Travel, The
Twilight Zone, and The
Untouchables. The other guest star in this episode, Romney
Brent (above), was a Mexican actor/producer/playwright, who had been living
in the US for many years. He worked in Hollywood from 1930 to the
early-1960s, before returning to Mexico, where he spent the last decade
of his life. His major film role was as Spain's King Phillip II in
The Adventures
of Don Juan (1948), with Errol Flynn.
He also worked extensively in television and was a regular guest on
Zorro, with
Guy Williams, in the late-1950s.Anyone reading this page who can provide any information about copies of this missing episode please contact Frank Bonilla at comic2read@aol.com |
